It took me three years of tinkering to come up with a “season all” that isn’t too salty, too spicy, too peppery, too…too anything…just a great way to amplify the flavors of everything you love. Of course you could adjust the seasonings, like add more cayenne if you like it hot, but I find with my cooking that I like to add heat in other ways – like through fresh chilis or sauces. I get requests monthly for the stuff, and I have people who send me their empty Mad Dog Mildon Spice Mix bottles begging for refills.
1/4 cup paprika
2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons salt
2 tablespoons + 2 teaspoons black pepper
2 tablespoons granulated garlic
2 tablespoons chili powder
2 tablespoons oregano
2 tablespoons dried parsley
1 tablespoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon Coleman’s Dry Mustard (optional)
Combine all ingredients, mixing well between each new spice addition. Store in an airtight container out of direct light. Tastes great on everything except ice cream.
